Preparing for Your Journey

Did you know that ours is the first generation whose quality of life is actually less than that of our parents? It's a fact: our technologically advanced society is no longer serving our best interests.

Together we'll examine how today's world, with its nutritional pollution, too little movement, and way too much stress, is affecting our weight and health. We'll take a close look at how the basic design of the human body, once key to our survival, is now helping to accelerate our weight gain. And we'll see why the institutions we once depended on to keep us healthy are now the very ones driving us toward sickness.

You'll come to understand why it's not your fault that you're overweight and unhealthy. You'll learn what we mean by "optimal health," "non-sick," and "sick," and discover how your choices are leading you down this continuum, eroding your health. And we'll help you change the very way you look at your weight and your health by exploring your motivation and learning how to make the fundamental choice to be healthy -- a choice available to each and every one of us.

Together, we'll outline a specific path that will bring you to a state of health you never thought possible, and we'll do it in baby steps.

To design your individual plan for success, we need to know what challenges you are up against and what unique issues you may face on your journey. That is why one of the most important tools we start with is an in-depth assessment of your current state of health. We'll explore aspects of your life beyond just lab results and blood pressure, to paint a complete picture of your current habits and lifestyle -- to make sure we're touching on all the factors at work in your journey to optimal health.

 

Results vary. Typical weight loss is 2-5 lbs per week for the first 2 weeks and 1-2 lbs per week thereafter.
